The Antetokounmpo brothers, born to Charles and Veronica, grew up in their hometown of Athens, Greece. However, their eldest sibling, Francis, was born in Nigeria before their parents immigrated. Similar to his late father, who passed away in 2017, Francis pursued a professional soccer career.
The rise of the Antetokounmpo brothers to fame has served as an inspiration for aspiring athletes and fans alike. Their incredible journey even became the subject of a biopic called “Rise,” which premiered on Disney+ in 2022. While their path to success is undeniably captivating, it is the bond they share as brothers that truly warms the heart.
Beyond their supportive words in interviews, the brothers’ strong sibling connection is evident through their YouTube Channel, AntetokounBrosTV. Moreover, they collaborate on the AntetokounBros Academy venture, working together to give back to underprivileged communities.
Now, in 2023, three of the Antetokounmpo brothers are joining forces to compete in the NBA All-Star Weekend. Giannis, Thanasis, and Alex will team up for the Skills Challenge, forming one of the three teams alongside Team Jazz and Team Rookies on February 18, 2023.
